Skillset/UK Film Council Feature Film Production Workforce Survey 2008
2.5 Disability
3% of the survey respondents were disabled, only slightly higher than was reported by the 2005 film production workforce survey (2%). The figure is lower than for the wider audio visual workforce in the 2005 Survey of the Audio Visual Industries’ Workforce (5%), and for the UK workforce as a whole as reported by a recent Labour Force Survey (5%). It is also lower than the incidence of disability among the performing arts workforce: the Skillset/Equity Performing Arts Industry Survey 2005 found 8% of that workforce had a disability.
The proportion of disabled respondents did not vary significantly by occupational group due to small sub-groups.
